Legendary striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced his retirement at the age of 41 after a long and illustrious career.
“I say goodbye to football, but not to you,” the Swede told the San Siro crowd after Sunday’s final game of the season.
As a result, one of the most magical figures of the modern era is about to hang up his boots, which means it will be his last FIFA appearance as an active player.
Given that this is the last time we’ll see Zlatan as an active player in FIFA, EA will surely be offering the football icon a special End of Era (EOAE) SBC card in Ultimate Team. And you will need tons of FIFA 23 coins to get the Swede in your team. Visit U7BUY and buy some cheap FIFA 23 coins!
All Time Great
Ibrahimovic started his career with the local side Malmo FF in his hometown in 1999 before moving to Ajax in 2001, where he won three league titles in three years.
Zlatan then moved to Italy in 2004 to play for Juventus, where he won two league titles. He has won three Serie A titles at Inter Milan before moving to Barcelona in 2009.
Ibrahimovic spent just one season with the Catalan club, winning La Liga before being loaned out to AC Milan, a move that became permanent in 2011.
The No. 9 then moved to Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain and scored 113 goals in 122 league appearances, winning four Ligue 1 trophies for the team.
He signed for Manchester United in July 2016 and won the Carling Cup and Europa League during his two years at the club.
All told, Ibrahimovic has won 34 trophies during his career, including 14 league titles.
The legendary striker is also Sweden’s all-time top scorer with 62 goals in 122 international appearances and has been nominated 11 times for the Ballon d’Or.
The Final Farewell
Ibrahimovic has only played four times for AC Milan this season, starting only one game in Serie A and scoring one goal.
Ibrahimovic announced his retirement in front of the home crowd at the San Siro on Sunday after a bout of injuries and with his contract set to expire at the end of the month.
“There are too many emotions for me right now. Forza Milan and goodbye,” said an emotional Ibrahimovic, fighting back tears.
“The first time I came here you gave me happiness, the second time you gave me love.
“You welcomed me with open arms, you made me feel at home, I will be a Milanista for the rest of my life.”
There is no doubt that we think Ibrahimovic will receive the End of an Era SBC card in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
End of an Era Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Considering how many top-tier items are now in FUT 23 following Team of the Season (TOTS) promotion, we expect Zlatan’s special item to increase to 95 OVR.
Ibrahimovic’s End of an Era card stats are staggering, including 96 shooting, 95 Physicality, 94 Pace and 93 Dribbling.
The striker will also retain his five-star skill moves from his basic FIFA 23 item, with the potential to move up to five-star Weak Foot.
We expect EA to price this SBC around 450,000 coins in the PlayStation and Xbox markets.
Zlatan’s EOAE card will probably be one of the most powerful strikers in the game, and depending on the price could be another SBC that FIFA 23 users must complete.
